Installation:

1. Remove any other Silver Talon skin from your Soldier of Fortune 2
Double Helix \base\mp folder.

2. Extract the BlackTalonSFP.zip file of your Soldier of Fortune 2
Double Helix \base\mp folder.

3. Let the carnage begin.

Nothing fancy here, just a high capacity full auto jet black talon with 3 selectable
fire modes, lowered recoil, increased range, better accuracy and more power.

Infomation:

Because the Black Talon SFP skin uses a SOF2.WPN file it may counter act
any ammo or weapons mod you have that also uses the .wpn file.

If this is the case you have a couple of options.


1. Scrap the existing ammo or weapons mod.

or

2. If your mod has the fire mode and ammo features you like on the talon,
then you can remove the sof2.wpn file by deleting the ext_data folder
from the BlackTlaonSFP.pk3 file and use the skin only. Just open the
file in winzip and you'll figure out the rest.

I forgot to mention in the readme that I also used Notepad and Soundforge 6.0 I ran the original fire.wav through a couple Parametric EQ's and a Multitap Delay. I also boosted the gain a little.

It looks alright, however I personally HATE the attempted-shader look that makes guns shine, but also makes them all swirly and, in short, look ugly.

You did an alright job IMO, its just my taste. Others may like it.

its nice but i prefer some of ur other work and this type of skin has been done alot before all black i know me and korven did black ops skins but we didnt do the talon...

Does the damage mod for this have any affect on what the server uses for damage? I play on XD and RD servers most of the time and I don't want PB going nuts because this has a different damage rating.

thank you for making my new talon skin! stick out tongue if you join a server, they have their own sof2.wpn file...correct? so how is yours supposed to change the fire modes and damage. seems like it wouldn't work unless you were hosting.

most likely any other servers wpn file will override it.. i made it for my own lan server.. all i can say is try it, if it works great, if it doesnt.. oh well.

The .wpn file is server sided. If you use this skin, it will do the damage which the server has set.

#4, don't think punkbuster will give any problems with this skin.
