Blackfords Airport (v1.1) - File Description  

This map was originally based on my hometown airport, but with a few twists...

A map for all types of players, runners, killers and campers.

This map is dedicated to one of our fallen. He may be gone, but never forgotten.
LT Dan had a wicked sense of humour and even though he has passed, he still gets the occassional kill. Come play the map and see how many kills Dan gets....

Thank you CrazyCJ ... Yes LT Dan was a well respected player and a sad loss to the community...

I hope everyone enjoys this map and gets a laugh everytime LT Dan gets a kill...

I am a little surprised on the lack of comment on the map ... good bad or indifferent.

Only one to comment to date was HoRRoRiST... oh and HoRRoRiST I included all your suggestions in this build ... Thanks again for taking the time to review the map and comment.big grin

You're very welcome, it's a very good map! And yes I noticed, thank you for doing that (I appreciate that, as you didn't have to, it's your map afterall), now it's even better! smile
I already found out what you meant by when he gets a kill btw, lol.

Oh btw, I found 4 new little things I posted on the forum a few days ago but I guess you didn't read the posts yet. smile
Good news is I didn't find anything else since. smile

Thanks HoRRoRiST, just checked the forums and left you my comments ... Will try and look into those minor ones over the weekend. Glad you gave LT Dan a few kills ...big grin

Try camping the left side of the Chapel door aiming at red spawn, LT Dan is bound to get a few more kills that way ...Beer! Beer!

Oh and by the way, I am more than happy to make changes to any of my maps, especially when someone goes to the trouble to test and find things we may miss in testing. Again thanks for the input...Two Thumbs Up!

I just tested this in RoCMod CDK, Goldrush and the Base game.

Sounds from doors only work in Goldrush.
Maybe Goldrush has a default door sound or you used a sound that is only in the Goldrush mod.

For some reason I can walk right through the metal detectors with an m60 without it causing any problems. However, if I sneak around it an alarm is triggered. - Also soundless of course.

The escalators could be made with func_trains like on mp_poolside.
Perhaps the locgage transporters could be made with rotators and some pushers instead of the low friction surface, which is a bit tame.

Weapon placement... More please smile I'm sure the airport security must have confiscated some weapons in the check in and that they have some in their rooms.

The sound of the fountain is slightly misplaced in the direction towards the pool tables. Try standing on that side of it and listen while turning.

I can see from the other things you have done on this map, that you are capable of implementing the stuff that makes a map interesting, so I hope you will take a look at these suggestions.

Btw this map would be great for Control... wink
