Rice Whitehouse is also the author of the Jumbot, Famkebot, Head Soccer, and many other things. Today he brings us HideBot v1.1! This bot supports all modes of play. Here is the v1.1 info:
"Reverted to an older code base. This automatically fixed a great deal of problems that show up in the official SoF Gold release, such as bots being added incorrectly in team modes and getting stuck on routes while navigating.
Redid the route file format. Old route files will no longer be compatible, but route files in the new format are included for all of the standard SoF/SoF Gold levels.
Support has been re-added for all available play modes in Soldier of Fortune, including the new play modes which were introduced in SoF Gold.
Bot movement is now generally smoother and more human-like.
Fixed a bug causing bots to sometimes stop firing their weapon and fail to reload.
Improved strafing and general movement in combat situations.
Improved somewhat on the edit mode from the old code base by adding various new utility functions (such as the ability to easilly add and remove waypoints inside a trail). Looking at a waypoint in edit mode also shows information about the waypoint.
A good deal of things have been done to lessen the amount of CPU power the bots take. I'm not exactly sure how fast this release is in comparison to the official release that came with SoF Gold, but it's approximately twice as fast as the old code base which I reverted to."

Arrrgggh, it seems to be the same version that i already had and cannot play: incompatible with violence options... I guess it only works with the non-violent version of sof
I guess we have to wait for bot-bugfree patch (1.07?) from Raven...

Hmm, here @ home I can play with this bot, but a friend of mine got the same error you mentioned here. I also don't know why. Let's ask Mr. Whitehouse...
when i try to make a server i go into bot's to add bot's like normal and it says to me
EDIT THE HIDEBOT.CFG AND BOTLIST.TXT FILES IN YOUR HIDEBOT/BOT FOLDER IN OREDER TO CUSTOMIZE THE BOTS.

i can't even add one bot
When I try to make waypoint files for my maps, it still says "incompatible version" when I try to play them. Other than that , they work just fine. If you read the readme, it tells you how to edit the bot config file. You will always get the weird screen when you use it.
ATTN FRGMRazor: There are a few cfg-files that you have to set before those bots become active! One of them is /hidebot/bot/hidebot.cfg!
There's a line like:
bot_num 3
This means there are allways 3 bots playing (if other serversetting allow you to)!
The botlist.txt is (i think) a list of bots that you don't want to use, as my version has three names in it and i have never seen those 3 bots playing...
ATTN Jamz: Your /hidebot/bot/wpfiles/xxx.wrs is not good. Delete it first and retry!
Ok Maby its just me but when i tried to d/l this file a lil screen came up sayin "Incorrect user name/P*****word please try again" WTF i mean i use DAP 4 (Download Accelerator Plus 4) and i cant get it.:-( I want to get it because of Stupid WON F***in up and need to continue praticing!
