Operation Sandstorm - File Description  


Description:
This will be on nearly every sniper server out there before long. Even though it is a small map for sniping it is very well balanced with loads of spots to take aim from.
A well laid out map with a few quirks that only adds to the enjoyment.
This map to me says that the developer has looked closely at the way Raven made there maps and has added a certain things to enhance his own style of mapping
Very nice map so get it on your sever and enjoy it.

Note map title is operation sandstorm but for a console load type - map mp_sandstorm

Description : A base on a remote island is under attack in this multiplayer map with custom sky and soundtrack. Plenty of buildings for cover and towers for snipers. Supports CTF, CCTF, DM, TDM, and Elim.

Base : The buildings are based on misc_bsp entities from the original game.
Editor : GTKRadient 1.4
Buildtime : About a week of work.
Known Bugs :

Features : Highly detailed map, Custom soundtrack, Cool moving sky, lots of places to snipe from. Includes pwn[bot] botroute.
New Textures? : YES
New Sounds? : No
Custom Soundtrack? : Sports a custom music track by Johnny Himself. (a most underutilized feature of most maps.)

Compile Machine : AMD X2 4800, 1GB RAM
Compile Time : About 3mins, vis -fast light -fast super2 filter

The .pk3 file should be extracted to the user's SoF2 /base/ directory.

* To Play *

Start an SoF2 Multiplayer Game.
Select Operation Sandstorm from the map list.
*or pull down the console (~) and type : map mp_sandstorm

This map reminds me somehow of battlefield 2.

seems quiet nice. simple but nice. most of the simple maps are the best or most famouse maps...like italy for instance. looking forward to play some tactial games on there

Nice map rated it: 7/10. Would have rated it 8/10 if the groundlevel was'nt all flat wink
