Posts: 2 		So, I download this tremendously large file, and I get all worked up about it,
and after three days of tireless toil, I unzip and get ther .run file. Little did I know,
that I can't run the f*cking .run file, so I ask all you Linux experts out there:
What do I do with the .run file? Or should I go to mcdonalds® and kill a
bunch of people?

Posts: 2724 		Hmm, going to McDonals and kill some people sounds fun, but would not be a good idea as you can do something similair in Soldier of Fortune... well, if you get it running that is.

to run the .run file, you must first turn on execute permissions for the file:
chmod u+x *.run
then you can say ./whatever.run to execute (run) it.
