nice attempt m8 must be huge to be 9mb try varying the textures from the pic it doesnt look to varried also try adding shadows to help hide snipers that would rock.

6/10 but u need to make the file size smaller and and some varienes to it this could be a good map.

I'm impressed that you take criticism so well. That's a good trait.

One thing I can see from just the screenshot, this needs light compiled!!! I can't see a single shadow....If you'd learned about the _ambient worldspawn key, forget about it, it's no good.

Keep makin small test maps, and keep trying new things. A really good forum I like to read is http://www.quake3world.com...it's primarily for quake mappers....but the information there is still applicable to sof2 in most cases.

9MB! From the screenshot I'm guessing it should be about a 1/2 MB.

ITS THE SAME AS MR BLONDES PROBLEM , ADD A LIGHT STAGE M8 AND IT WILL LOOK 100 TIMES BETTER , EVEN IF YOU JUST ADD A SINGLE TEST LIGHT STAGE IS BETTER THAN NOTHING , APART FROM THAT HOW THE HELL DID IT END UP BEING 9.93 MEG ??? LOL Beer! Beer!

I downloaded this just to see why it is so damn big. It has a 9MB MP3 file.....The map itself is less than 150KB. This would be about a 10 second download on any server if not for the giant MP3.

I could understand adding custom music if you can keep the file somewhat small, but realeasing a map that is 99% music when most people don't even play with music on is kind of unnecessary.

There are 3 stages to compiling a map...BSP, VIS, and LIGHT. BSP lays out the brushwork and textures, VIS calculates visibility to optimize FPS and LIGHT calculates shadows and light. Your map has that "fullbright" look that indicates that you didn't compile the light stage, or you used _ambient or _minlight keys in the worldspawn, which is NOT a good way to light a map.

For your next map, consider using a smaller mp3 file or better yet, no mp3 file at all. Lets see what you have in there......Ok, "Teeny Weeny String Bikini"? That is the gayest song I've heard in a while. It sounds alot like that "What is love?" song that the Butabi Brothers like to groove to. (Night at the Roxbury)

I think I'd kill myself if I had to listen to that while playing...or anyother time for that matter.

No offence but the map is way to bright,
ugly textures and wrong skybox use.

You should look on the net for some nice tutorials.
