fui Mayan Desert - File Description  


Description:
Its been a while, but here is another great looking map from {FUI}steko ni,uk.

The map is based on a desert theme, wide open spaces with enough cover for some very good frag fun. The map supports a host of game types and supports the Goldrush Mod.

Game types supported are: dm tdm inf elim ctf dem
and for the Goldrush game play: ctf elim inf dem dm tdm cctf gold sabo cah tcah ctb tctb cctf ctdm escape infinite ko lastman occtf vip wave.

The map will host ctf elim inf 32 player spawns 16 per team and {33 dm & tdm player spawn points} The zip also contains bot routes for your entertainment.

this is a great map.
it was a absolute pleasure to test it. had hours of fun. and found myself sniping (havent done that for a while) and loved it Rock

Damn right, been a long time since I seen a Fui map. Loved the hk2 remix and village gold makes for great sniping. Cant wait to try this one. Keepem' coming!

Indeed this is a great map... Kinda like the vok theme, nice desert sniper map smile Also I liked the fui_hk2 map and this one too ! Keep it up Rock

nice map, gj.
imo the r_speeds are a bit high (comparing it with stock maps). and r_showtris shows that the whole map is computed at a time, as long as you are not inside a tent. this might be a problem having lots of players in the map.
using a alphamap/metashader would have made the nice terrain look even better.

the terrain alphamap/metashader the terrain has the following keys

The map build time was nearly 3 months i built compiled and tested it so many times. That after i sent it in i deleted 2.66gb of map files and bsp's from my hard drive never mind the other files i deleted as i went along. I think i got it performing as best i could. Thanks for all the great comments that the map has recieved

Hi ive just noticed a slight diffrence in the prerelease version of the map that i sent to Goody over at http://www.alliesrpggoldrush.net/ to test and the final vesion that i sent into sof2files. The prerelese vesion had a readme file in the the pk3 this was omitted from the final version thats posted on sof2files Goody put the map in his download section. A few people have downloaded the the map from Goody's site if you are one of those ppl you need to redownload the map from here eek! Ive emailed 1 server admin that i saw runing the prerelese version. Sorry for any confusion stephen {FUI}STEKO NI,UK
