  Sound Tutorial

To do this you will need either WinZip/or WinRAR or any other program that can unzip files.


*1st*
Go to your base/mp and find the .pk3 called musicandsounds. Ok now use WinZip or WinRAR to unzip the PK3 to a folder (I just use one on my desktop called SoF2Stuff)

*2nd*
When this is done close your WinZip/WinRar. Ok, now go to where you have unziped the pk3, open the folder called musicandsound, here you will get a few other folders (music for game music, and sounds for
weapons, steps, etc)

Depending on what you want to do go to either music or sounds (this example is from the sounds) Open the sounds folder go to weapons,AK. Now you will find 11 or so files,( fire01, fire02, fire03, etc)

*3rd*
This is where I minimize the window, and open the start menu,
Programs
-Accessories
--Entertainment
and then open sound recorder
Go to file open and find where the sounds ands music are, and go to the AK again.(if you have a diff. sound thing-a-ma-gig for sounds open them with that).

*4th*
Ok from here you can do what ever you wish to it. (NOTE: if you want to start from scratch, just make the sound with what you use and save the file in the sounds. This should be to what it goes under and rename it to the sounds you whish to replace)
When you are done editing the sounds save the changes, then go back to the main folder (musicandsounds)and copy the whole folder. Then go to your SoF2/base/mp and paste it in mp.

Now you should be able to go in to your game and make your own server to test these new sounds.
