  PayBack Banned in Australia - Site News

That is right. Some site have reported that Sof3 Payback is to be banned in Australia. However after hours of research we can present the facts to you and see what you think.
According to the Australian Classification Board SoF PayBack has received a RC Rating. Some sites have taken this to mean a "Refused Classification" but this can also mean "Restricted Classification" according to there own site.

Now this is were doubt about it being banned comes in. IGN have quoted Activision as it being delayed in Australia until 2008.

This leaves the question will there be a less violent version for Australia. They have done this before but for Germany with SoF2 are we about to see history repeat itself and if so will other countries ratings boards opt for the less violent version.
As Activision themselves are keeping quiet about everything to do with SoF Payback this is all just speculation but we felt that it was news worthy. Hopefully everything will become clear very soon.

banned? yea right, i'll see my aussies on sof3 multiplayer for launch day.
why does everyone try to ban and censor ADULT games anyway? big brother doesn't have the remote, i do stick out tongue

awww... i love gore but i can't kill a bee... why don't they let us have fun... a sick man would kill with or without shooting game... Two Thumbs Down!

They ban and/or censor ADULT games because too many parents are TOO STUPID to pay attention to what their children are doing or too busy trying to please them instead of parent them. Blame the stupid parents.

Stupid.. I'm old enough to decide what games I will play and which not.. I don't need a government to decide that for me..

Glad I don't live in Australia or Germany.

The classification is from the official Australian site. That is not rumour.
The quote from Activision could be seen as rumour but in conjunction with the what is known it was worth mentioning. Then the rest of it is just pure speculation based on what happened in Germany with SoF2.
This is why I said I posted it here to see what people think.

Banning Payback from Australia is like saying halo isn't suitable for kids under seventeen or that doom 3 is scarymad
